Tax Supervisor –  Wailuku, Maui 


We are looking for a long-term person to fill the tax supervisory role on Maui.  We need a supervisor on Maui to help our tax manager on the Big Island lead tax operations.  We have a team approach and we cross train our staff, so growth and experience is gained in all types of tax returns.  This is an excellent opportunity, with potential for career advancement.


The ideal candidate must have:

  • ·     Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • ·     CPA or EA license

  • ·     Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience

  • ·     Ability to prepare various types of tax returns

  • ·     Critical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • ·     Ability to manage and prioritize work

  • ·     A desire to work as part of a team; collaborating with and supporting other team members

  • ·     Supervisory experience

  • ·     Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • ·     Experience with Ultra Tax a plus

Staff Auditor – Kona, Hawaii & Wailuku, Maui


Our Firm needs an entry level staff auditor for our Kona office, and an experienced auditor in our Maui office.  We specialize in non-profit accounting, owner associations, schools and construction company audits.  Under the direction of our experienced audit managers the ideal candidate will be able to learn and/or perform entry level/experienced audit work in our audit department.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements,

       to include documenting the execution of specific procedures performed

  • Assist clients with routine accounting functions

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients and co-workers.

  • Some travel to other islands is required.


The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • CPA or plan to attain it

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Produce college transcripts as well as a resume and references.


Bookkeeper – Kona, Hawaii & Wailuku, Maui

We are seeking a Full-Time Full charge Bookkeeper for our Kona and Wailuku Office. This position is open for someone who appreciates a job well done and would like to grow in their career.

The ideal candidate must possess but not limited to:

  • 1 -  3 years of bookkeeping experience

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Office – Word & Excel

  • Bank reconciliation

  • Credit card reconciliation

  • Fixed assets & Depreciation

  • Prepaid schedules

  • Expense coding

  • Understands and has experience with Payroll processing and tax related payments & filings

  • Understand accrual vs cash basis accounting method

  • Knows adjusting entries

  • Knows restricted revenues and expenses

  • Debt amortization schedules

  • Knowledge of Non-Profit accounting, helpful

  • Understands Equity roll forward


Pay for each position dependent upon experience: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
