Staff 2 - Senior Level Financial Auditor – Remote 

Position for a financial auditor for a Hawaii Firm that has been in business for 29 years and growing statewide.Candidate should be Staff 2 - Senior level auditor (2 to 5 years) who would work with/under an Audit Manager and travel to Hawaii for fieldwork about 4 times a year. Starting at $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

We truly work as a team, and provide training both in the Firm and for self-study, and we keep a positive working atmosphere as best we can. As you interview and meet people, you will be able to judge for yourself.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform audit work at the Staff 2 up to senior level, supervising staff and fieldwork and able to prepare financial statements.

  • We specialize in non-profit companies, common interest owner associations, schools and construction company audits.

  • We use Advance Flow audit software, on which we will offer training.

  • Traveling to Hawaii 4 times a year is required, but most of your time will be spent at your home office, Trips typically last 1 to 2 weeks depending on the client, and your weekends are open to you.

 

The ideal candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • CPA or a plan to attain it

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Working well independently as well as being a part of the team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Staff Auditor – Wailuku, Maui & Big Island - Kona

**This job will be in office and is not a remote position**

 

We want you to continue to grow your Financial Audit career in a family friendly environment!  Our Firm is looking for a Financial Auditor with either a few years experience, a seasoned auditor or someone as experienced as a audit manager.  We specialize in non-profit accounting, owner associations, schools and construction company audits.  We work hard to prevent stressful deadlines and we strive to use a team approach in all we do.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements,

       to include documenting the execution of specific procedures performed

  • ​Audit work at your level and training and to grow to a higher level

  • Assist clients with routine accounting functions

  • Interview clients, examine documents and document your work

  • Some travel to other islands is required

 

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • CPA or plan to attain it

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Advance Flow paperless audit software a plus but will train

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Produce college transcripts as well as a resume and references.
