Seasonal Tax Preparers - Hilo or Kona, Hawaii

**NOT REMOTE - In person and on Island

 

Carbonaro CPAs & Management Group is looking for seasonal tax preparers on the island of Hawaii in our Hilo or Kona offices. Our Firm has been in business for over 30 years and is continuing to grow.  We are looking for seasonal tax preparers who would like to work during the busy season and have time off the rest of the year. 

Tax Preparer Should Possess:

• Minimum of 4 years of consecutive tax preparation experience, preferably in a CPA setting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Professional skill set which include critical thinking, problem solving and organization

• Detail oriented

• Highly organized

• Experience with CS Ultra tax software, helpful

Seasonal work to include:

• Work overtime during the busy tax season, as needed

• Preparation of various tax return types – individual, business, partnerships, etc.

 

Job Type:  Full time – Seasonal

Pay:  $ 25– 30 / hr

Staff Auditor – Hilo or Kona, Hawaii

**This job will be in office and is not a remote position**

This opportunity is for someone who really enjoys financial auditing. The person we are looking for needs to have work experience, ie, some public accounting experience, from a intern to Manager level (pay commensurate upon experience).

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Audit work at your level and training and to grow to a higher level.

• We specialize in non-profit, owner associations, schools and construction company audits.

• We use Advance Flow paperless audit software, on which we will offer training.

• Interview clients, examine documents and document your work.

• Some travel to other islands is required.

 

The ideal candidates must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or at least 24 credit hours of accounting classes

• CPA or a plan to attain it

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
